2019 GARDEN SITE

We rotate our garden beds each year to make sure that the soil isn't depleted of nutrients.
We also grow beans along with our corn.
Both lettuce and marigold are grown along all crops (except rice) -- they bring good nutrients and insects to our garden!

FAQ

Why did you choose the plants that you grow?
All of our plants are ingredients that most people use to make tacos.
In the future, we plan on adding farm animals, increasing our sustainability efforts, as well as our food production for our community!

How much do you get paid?
Nothing! We're 100% volunteer-based.

How can I get involved with volunteering with the Taco Garden?
Awesome! Please email tacogarden@blackduck.club

Do you sell your products?
No, we only trade or give away our food. We feel that this approach helps to better our community, and it also provides us an opportunity to spread our knowledge of food and gardening!

Can I start my own Taco Garden?
Yes, of course!
